- Daniel MEADOWSApr 05, 2018★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆I have been assigned this vendor through my home warranty company, and it has been a terrible experience! I would recommend staying away from this vendor. The technician is the owner, and he does not listen, show any amount of consideration, or do quality work. He's too busy trying to finish the job and run to the next one. I paid the call out fee for the initial assessment, and the unit was frozen over, so we had to wait another day for him to come back b/c he wasn't willing to wait for it to defrost. I'm okay with that. Since I was traveling, I told him I would be unavailable the following day when he returned, but he was clear to perform the work. He went to the house, knowing that I would not be there, but then did not complete the work b/c I was not present. No call. No info. I called, and he had rescheduled for the 3rd day, and he refused to fix the unit until a trade fee was charged b/c it was his third trip to my house. I refused b/c he did not listen to the fact that I would not be there and came anyways. The 3rd visit, I was still out of town on business, but he agreed to fix the unit as long as I paid the trade fee. The warranty company finally agreed to credit him the trade fee, then I paid him $275 for 5lbs of freon. The unit worked again, and he had collected $425 between myself and the warranty company. When asked why it needed freon, his office says, "sometimes it evaporates, and it simply needs to be recharged, but the good news is there are no leaks on the unit."
Less than 4 weeks later, I have the same problem, so I demanded that the warranty company send another technician from another company to resolve the problem. The new technician just left my house; stating that my evac coil, and service valve need to be replaced b/c they have severe leaks, and it will require another 5lbs of Freon to be added. Moral of the story, he did a horrible job inspecting the unit (or didn't inspect it at all), he failed to identify the root cause of the problem, the company has terrible customer service, and is almost impossible to get a call back from them. All he did was apply a band-aid fix, collect his check, and run into the sunset. I recommend staying far away from this company, as he will do the same to you. If I could put less than one star, I would.
Stay away!
